Lisa Gibbon’s connection to nature started at an early age when her parents moved to Refuge Cove, a small community of 30 people. There, Lisa and her family lived in a small log cabin built by her father and lived a life similar to the early settlers of the area. Her passion for visual arts grew from the influences of this life.
Lisa’s mixed media artwork reflects her environment, the lush coastal landscape of British Columbia and seeks to honour her connection with imagery from ancient cultures, art, symbols and universal archetypes.
